Portree is typically approached from the A87 from either the Skye Bridge (Viewfield Road, above) or Uig (Dunvegan Road, above). As you enter the village, follow signs for Staffin along the A855. With the harbour and Portree Bay to your right, continue along Bosville Terrace and Mill Road, then take the right-hand road at the y-junction marked for "The Cuillin Hills Hotel" (Scorrybreck Road, above). Ard Dearg is located immediately at the bottom of the hill and guest parking is outside the Chalet, illustrated inset above.
